For people who delve deep enough within their minds, a rather interesting ability seems to appear. With enough knowledge of yourself, it is possible to unleash the shade of yourself - the part of you that your conscious self fears and denies the existence of. Everyone has what you could call a "evil twin" deep within themselves. If you desire to help people and prevent people from being harmed, somewhere deep within your mind is a part of you raging out, trying to break free, full of the desire to torture and kill, sabotage and disrupt.
Once you find the shadowy parts of yourself, it is possible to begin understanding yourself. At this point, you will probably be horrified with yourself for a time, possibly a very very long time, but if you can learn to accept both sides of yourself, you begin to control yourself far better. It becomes possible to push this other side of yourself out of your body, where it is easily capable of preforming magical tasks for you, with or without instruction. Because it is literally a part of you, its goals are the same as your goals are. However, its method of achieving those goals may not be the same as what you think should be done.
Properly understood and controlled, such shades are incredibly useful, and can even be used to help people, even if they would rather do the opposite.

Yeah when i was a child i fragmented my "soul" into three different personalities. A child, an middleaged person, and the dark side of myself(the parts of me i extremely disliked and locked away for nearly 10 years after i fragmented myself at the age of 6) anyways do you think i could make mutiple "clones" with the extra personality imm not using for the momment and swap them out as i swap between my older and younger personality along with keeping the shadow? Just wanted your opinian....

Although I have an understanding of what you're saying, I tend to not agree. The inner self is neither good nor evil, it is the actions and reactions to our outer stimulus that causes there to be intent one way or another. We've all even at young ages, had things around us happen to cause us to react with contempt where we if uncontrolled, act with intent in an evil manner. This isn't that we are evil, or that a part of us is evil, it is that we are neutral and give way with emotion to the intent of evil. As we grow we find new ways to react, some of course evil in themselves such as torture. But there again we may react with goodness which is also away from our normally neutral state of being. The point is that we tend to take more of one side than the other rather than just trying to maintain that neutral state. I do agree however that even in the evil state of being, good can come from it. This happens when dealing with an equally evil state in another. **smiles** Always great fun.

The problem is when you are influenced by outside society telling you things are absolutes, like evil and good. Since most people accept those ideas, I try to keep what I say using those terms. *shrug*
You are quite correct there though. We do not lean either way to begin with at least, though we can be pushed to either side by events around us.

Namaste
It is true that outside influences will pull our inner cores from one side to the other. This makes it even more important to keep ourselves balanced and neutral to our intents when not doing specific workings. And when we are doing our workings, because we are balanced, we are able to control that state of being which produces the greatest energy for our endeaver because our intent is pure.
